Welcome to Trippi! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Trippi website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Our Services

Trippi is a technology platform that connects users ("Customers") seeking to book vehicle charter services with independent third-party vehicle owners and operators ("Operators"). We act as an intermediary to facilitate the booking process, payment, and communication between Customers and Operators.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Bookings and Financial Terms

3.1. Payment Structure

Booking a charter service through Trippi involves a split payment model:

  • Advance Payment: To confirm a booking, Customers are required to pay a percentage of the total estimated charter cost upfront via the Platform. This amount is specified at checkout and secures the vehicle for the requested dates.
  • Remaining Balance: The outstanding balance of the charter cost is to be paid directly to the Operator by the Customer upon completion of the trip. The exact amount will be based on the final usage (e.g., distance, hours) as agreed upon in the booking.

3.2. Payment Processing

All advance payments made through the Trippi platform are processed by our third-party payment gateway provider (e.g., Razorpay). By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment instrument. We are not responsible for any errors, fees, or issues caused by the payment processor.

3.3. Incomplete Payments

If an advance payment fails, is disputed, or is not completed for any reason, the booking will not be confirmed. Trippi holds no obligation to reserve the vehicle or honor the quoted price until the advance payment is successfully processed.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are handled according to our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms. Key points include:

  • Cancellation by Customer: Eligibility for a refund of the advance payment depends on how far in advance the cancellation is made. Please refer to the policy for specific timelines and refund percentages.
  • Cancellation by Operator: If an Operator cancels a confirmed booking, the Customer is entitled to a full 100% refund of the advance amount paid. Trippi will facilitate this refund and may take action against the Operator for impacting platform reliability.
  • Disputes: Any disputes regarding the service or final payment should be resolved directly with the Operator. Trippi may provide support and mediation at its discretion but is not responsible for the service delivery itself.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Platform in a lawful manner and to respect other users. You are responsible for your conduct and for any content you provide. You must not misuse the Platform by engaging in fraudulent activities, harassment, or any other behavior that disrupts the service.

6. Limitation of Liability

Trippi provides a platform to connect Customers and Operators and is not a transportation carrier. We are not responsible for the actions, negligence, or conduct of any Customer or Operator. Our liability is limited to the amount of the advance payment paid for a booking.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
